Please join us at the Claudia Cassidy Theater February 25th at 5pm for a conversation featuring the critics, educators, writers, and editors who have contributed catalog essays for the exhibition PRESENT STANDARD curated by Edra Soto and Josue Pellot. The discussion will expand upon the concerns and issues surrounding contemporary Latinx culture, aesthetics, and politics touched on in the various catalog essays. Additionally, the discussion will focus on the broader contexts and implications of contemporary Latinx-based art production in Chicago and beyond. Come learn more about the writers, artists, and thinkers associated with this landmark exhibition. PRESENT STANDARD is currently on view at the Chicago Cultural Center through April 24, 2016.
